How it's calculated
1
For the nationwide calendar, school holiday dates are loaded — the source is the OpenHolidays API.
2
For each calendar week, we count which one calendar (no regional split) are on holiday — weighted by their importance as a source market. Where most guests come from counts the most.
3
The classification is peak-anchored: the densest week sets the benchmark, every other week is measured against it. That keeps the calendar comparable across years.
The calendar reflects holiday demand, not your actual bookings. Regional public holidays, trade fairs, events and weather come on top. A guideline, not a guarantee.
