Season calendar · Belgium
When is high season in Belgium 2025?
Based on the school holidays of Belgium's three language communities (the Flemish, French, and German-speaking Communities — they hold education authority, not the regions or provinces) — weighted by population — the calendar shows when Belgium sees peak season for holiday rentals.

How it's calculated
1
For each language community, school holiday dates are loaded — the source is the
OpenHolidays API.
2
For each calendar week, we count which language communities are on holiday — weighted by their importance as a source market. Where most guests come from counts the most.
3
The classification is peak-anchored: the densest week sets the benchmark, every other week is measured against it. That keeps the calendar comparable across years.
The calendar reflects holiday demand, not your actual bookings. Regional public holidays, trade fairs, events and weather come on top. A guideline, not a guarantee.
We currently source each language community from a single source only (OpenHolidays). We don't yet have a second, independent source to cross-check against — the dates are plausible but not (yet) cross-verified.
